LURAP dress review

I'm not one to promote or talk about a product unless I absolutely LOVE it. I told myself when I started blogging that I wouldn't blog about merchandise (no matter what the company sent me) if I wouldn't buy it with my own money on my own time.

But today I am going to talk to you about a dress I would go out and buy right this second if I didn't already own it thanks to the wonderful people over at LURAP

LURAP stands for L-ove UR AP-pearance. The company is doing something we probably all wish was happening as we order more online and shop less in store: tailoring clothes before you order them and try them on. Every piece of clothing is made to fit you, not the other way around. Nothing sits in bulk in a warehouse, the clothes are made once you order them.

I can't tell you how many times I've ordered something only to get it and realize the model in the photo had a torso double my length and legs that made mine look like stumps.

LURAP makes the process of getting what you want super easy and simple. Add something to your cart and state your bust size, waist size, hip size, how tall you are, and more. You can even request a length or any special altercations. Want a dress a little shorter and roomier? You got it. Prefer something more modest? They will do that for you.

I received this dress two weeks ago and have worn it each week. It's super easy to thrown on, it doesn't need to be ironed, and the bright white color makes me look a little tanner (I live in Las Vegas where summer last nine months & my pale skin is constantly exposed). I love that it's not tight and not to short, but the racer back and stitching detail make it easy to dress up for a fun night out or wear during the day with sandals.

Here are some pictures of the dress! If you want to order your own, click here. Have a question about how I wore it or the fit? Comment bellow or email me, everyone deserves this easy summer look.

I'm obsessed with wearing hats as I've moved into the no-need-to-wash-my-hair-everyday phase. With a few layering necklaces, this dress is super casual and still put together.

In the photo below, I wanted to be super honest about the fit. It's cut a little low on the sides. I don't mind the cut, but I also didn't wear a bra with the dress and don't have a whole lot to worry about, if you know what I mean. (I just told you about my business while simultaneously scaring away every male reader, ever.) If you are bustier and don't like letting it all hang out, you could definitely wear a lace bandeau.

The dress is a polyester blend and thick enough that you don't need to wear a slip underneath. The detailing across the chest, waist, and sides is see-through. Someone would really have to be staring super hard to notice this, but it adds a nice detail to the dress.

Racerback is universally flattering ( I read that in Allure or something) and this one swoops low and fits nicely.

The fit is like a baby doll dress. It comes a few inches above my knee and hangs loosely.

Despite being loose and a little flow-y, I didn't have any problems while walking with it exposing anything or being too short as I bent over and moved around. I watch two small kids and wore this dress around them while playing outside, being constantly tugged at, and running. Aside from a few grass stains, the dress held up against two toddlers.

While I am promoting a company, why not promote my beautiful friend that took this pictures? Carly Cottle is an angel and one of the sisters behind Sister House Collective. Check out her Instagram,

Hope you all love this dress and have some fun checking out LURAP's website. Tell me your favorite companies and spring/summer trends! Love to all of you xoxox

  1. First of all, love the name of the company. I would check them out just because of that name! LOL Secondly, LOVE the dress. It's perfect for the Caribbean weather we are having. It's been crazy hot here over the past few weeks.

  2. A bunch of cheats and liars. They have taken 4000 rupees from me and after 20 days, they have lied and bullied me and not sent my product. They are also not taking my calls and are not replying to my emails. They have cheated me and not delivered the product they promised within the timeframe promised. NEVER EVER EVER EVER BUY FROM LURAP. THEY ARE CHEATS AND LIARS AND IT IS NOT A LEGITIMATE COMPANY!

  3. honestly not happy with service so far.. lets see how the product is after i get the delivery!

  4. I bought a jumpsuit in December. Pathetic fit. Sent for alteration. Not relieved after that. No response from customer care. Just checked my bank statement. Been double charged. Keep away from such thug companies. The only time they respond is when you leave a poor feedback all over the Internet.
